Henan Academy of Sciences visited C-CBC and joined as a Partner Institution

A delegation from Henan Academy of Sciences visited C-CBC on May 30th, 2018. The delegation was led by Prof. Tingzhou Lei, Vice Director of the Academy and joined by his colleagues Dr. Wei Bai, Dr. Zhiwei Wang, Dr. Xiuqiang Zhang, and Dr. Qian Guan. C-CBC Director Xiaotao Bi hosted the visit and presented the Centre and the general bioenergy work by UBC. Dr. Zhiwei Wang and Dr. Xiuqiang Zhang also introduced the Henan Academy of Sciences and their latest work in the bioenergy field. The two parties were glad to find mutual interests and similar on-going projects, thus discussed potential collaborations in the future. After the meeting, Dr. Lei accepted Dr. Bi's invitation to join C-CBC as a faculty member and Henan Academy of Sciences also joined as a partner institution. 

The delegation also toured the labs at UBC Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, the Clean Energy Research Centre, and visited the dual fluidized bed gasification pilot plant on campus.
